Ro Khanna Picks a Fight With the Wrong Guy During | Political News

It will be safely said that just about every Democrat in the House and Senate is obnoxious to some degree, but if I had to rank the top 5 most obnoxious, one who would simply make that record can be Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17).

There are a lot of causes why, but one big one stems from his farcical defenses of Maine Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner against allegations of bodily abuse and controlling habits from a former girlfriend, proclaiming that voters ought to imagine his accusers and not assault them… but that they need to also imagine Platner, because the man who reportedly “explicitly” sexted up to a dozen girls after his November 2023 marriage had supposedly “redeemed” himself. Make it make sense.

With that in thoughts, we flip to a listening to held on Thursday by the House Select Committee on China. The matter under dialogue was “China’s Economic Espionage and Subnational Influence in the United States.”

One of the Republican witnesses, State Armor founder and CEO Michael Lucci, was there to share his ideas on, among other issues, the risks of beginning tourism as it relates to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Khanna is the rating member on this committee, and when it was his flip to query Lucci, he predictably trotted out the race card, digging up tweets on Lucci and pretending that the one below made him an anti-Chinese racist.

One of the issues with Khanna’s accusation, as Lucci identified, was that not only is he married to a Chinese lady, but his 4 kids are half Chinese, and his in-laws are both Chinese:

DIVE DEEPER: It’s Time for America to Put an End to the Chinese ‘Birth Tourism’ Industry

A Chinese Billionaire Has Over 100 American Citizen Children, How Is This Even Legal?

Lucci additional expounded on his ideas past what he said to Khanna during the listening to in an completely blistering tweet, totally explaining why his opposition to beginning tourism wasn’t grounded in racism but instead national security pursuits:

My response to  @RepRoKhanna’s self-immolation in committee today:

Ro Khanna owes the American people an apology.

I’ve testified in 20 state capitols across the nation. I’ve never seen a lawmaker embarrass himself like Ro Khanna did today.

Ro is a chief of the most important committee for countering the Chinese Communist Party. Instead of dealing in substance and coverage, he pulled out the race card in the most self-embarrassing manner today while also peddling ridiculous conspiracy theories.

The American people need real options to acute national security points. Ro Khanna is burning up committee time on nonsense.

Here’s what occurred: I testified today about how American state lawmakers are being threatened, harassed and attacked by Chinese state-tied actors. Our army installations are being intently surveilled. Chinese-Americans are being hunted down by CCP authorities brokers. Critical infrastructure is being attacked.

Rep. Khanna ignored all those threats, *including threats to fellow Democrats who are presently sitting state lawmakers.* Honestly, I’m shocked that it didn’t register with him that a Chinese company threatened a Democrat state official. Instead, Ro dug up a tweet where I criticized CCP beginning tourism and tried to call me racist.

Of course, he utterly failed.

I oppose beginning tourism schemes through which CCP army and political leaders get U.S. citizenship for their kids by giving beginning in Saipan and then raising their kids loyal to the CCP in  China. It’s utterly loopy that we permit this. @peterschweizer has documented this scandal in his latest e-book. This should not be a partisan issue.

Lucci continued:

And here is the context: Ro was offended that I criticized beginning tourism as a half of my criticism of two Chinese-Americans who tried to bomb MacDill Air Force Base earlier this 12 months. According to Rep. Khanna, the bombers Alen Zheng (20) and his sister Ann Mary Zheng (27) achieved American citizenship through some kind of birthright program. It’s unclear whether or not they have been just born and raised right here, or if they have been a half of the Saipan scheme I criticized.

But either manner, Ro Khanna was lifting up and defending people who have been principally terrorists who tried to bomb CENTCOM March tenth of this 12 months. Then he turned around and claimed the real downside is racists who suppose beginning tourism is a dangerous thought.

Guess who thinks beginning tourism is a dangerous thought? 75% of the American people according to a YouGov ballot from last 12 months: “The group Americans are least likely to say should automatically receive U.S. citizenship — of the nine asked about in the survey — is children born in the U.S. to parents who are tourists visiting the country. 25% of Americans, including 11% of Republicans and 41% of Democrats, think children born to tourists on American soil should automatically receive U.S. citizenship.”

Sorry 75% of Americans who have common sense. @RepRoKhanna thinks you are all racists!

Furthermore, with the CCP, we’re speaking about circumstances where a youngster in merely born on a U.S. pacific island and then returns to China within days, never to see the USA again. Ro Khanna apparently thinks giving citizenship to all of these people is a great thought, even if they’re utterly loyal to the CCP, completely hate the USA, and have never stepped foot in our nation.

To me and to virtually anybody with common sense who analyzes the CCP, this is an apparent vector for CCP grey-zone political warfare. For instance, think about 1,500,000 CCP loyalists raised solely in China voting across swing states in our elections.

Nonetheless, Ro Khanna went on a rant to declare that I’m an anti-Chinese racist because I oppose this clearly ridiculous beginning tourism scheme.

He wrote more about his household as nicely:

Now here is where Ro actually jumped the shark. In his rush to conjure up a triple bank-shot conspiracy idea to attempt to declare I’m a racist, he apparently did not do any homework to discover out something about me.

I’m married to an immigrant from China who grew to become an American citizen in 2019. We have 4 great kids who are, of course, half Chinese by ethnicity. Ro was ranting at the dais claiming I’m racist against my own household merely because I oppose all the numerous schemes of the genocidal Chinese Communist Party, and I maintain a place on beginning tourism shared by 75% of the American people. And I wager it could be manner increased than 75% if the query was centered on the CCP Saipan scheme.

As I told Ro in committee, calling somebody an anti-Chinese racist for opposing the CCP is like calling somebody an anti-Italian racist for opposing the mafia. Both examples are absurd. Embarrassingly so.

The American people need real leaders and real national security options from both federal and state governments. That’s what we work on every day at @StateArmor.

We do not need @RepRoKhanna losing time be-clowning himself in committee when there may be so a lot real work that wants to be accomplished.

Ro insulted me and my household today. But truthfully, I do not know anybody who places any worth in what Ro says. So that would not actually matter. Today’s self-embarrassment was just one more half of Ro’s ongoing self-immolation that consists of endorsing Nazi-sympathetic candidates, claiming @elonmusk killed hundreds of thousands of children, and being one of the most prolific stock merchants in Congress. And that’s just in the last few weeks.

But here is what issues: Ro Khanna is an elected official who is tasked with dealing with our most pressing national security points, like those I introduced before him and the

@ChinaSelect committee today. And instead of partaking in a real coverage dialogue, he destroyed our capacity to work together on real options to counter the assaults by the Chinese Communist Party.

For that, he owes the American people an apology.

Any day when Ro Khanna’s arguments can get so totally demolished is a good day. Thursday was a good day.
