Emmerdale fans work out who really robbed the café | UK News

Emmerdale featured another puzzling storyline on Wednesday (July 8) when Café Main Street was robbed by an unknown perpetrator. Last month on the ITV cleaning soap, Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) made his means back to the village after enduring a kidnapping ordeal at the arms of his estranged son, Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches).

Kev’s former girlfriend, Kylie (Pippa Fulton), had pressured him into a van and confined him to her bed room until a piece of stolen jewelry was handed back. Ross Barton (Michael Parr) set out to discover his brother Lewis and uncovered the revelation about his paternity. Ross struck Kev unconscious and delivered the ex-convict back to Kylie, bringing the state of affairs to a close.

Lewis was freed unhurt and shortly afterward discovered that Kev is his organic father after Kev carried out Boyzone’s 1995 top 10 single Father and Son, leaving him completely surprised.

Lewis promptly left the Dales and went to live with his adoptive father, and on Wednesday, he returned to confront the state of affairs, stories the Daily Star.

It wasn’t long before he discovered that Kev had been clashing with his business companion, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), over the positioning of his bakery van operation, A Slice of Kev-en, which sits outdoors their café.

Kev hurried over to his son, keen to proudly reveal a contemporary title for the business: Barton’s Cake Tin. Lewis appeared confused, though Kev swiftly clarified that he’d altered his surname from Townsend to Barton in an attempt to forge a stronger bond between them.

Lewis was stunned yet again, but Kev revealed that his new id supplied him a clean slate. As a consequence, Lewis consented to go away their historical past behind them and start afresh, though Ross remained unconvinced it was a wise transfer.

Kev also voiced his exasperation relating to Nicola’s behaviour in direction of him. He said, “I’m sick of people thinking the worst of me and not giving me a chance. Gobby over there needs to be taken down a peg or two.”

As darkness descended upon the Dales, a determine clad fully in black pressured entry into the café and ransacked the premises. They hurled the furnishings across the room and wielded a crowbar to sweep objects onto the flooring, before snatching the money box and making their escape.

Did Kev precise revenge upon Nicola and double-cross his own son?

Emmerdale viewers are adamant Nicola and Ross staged the housebreaking to implicate Kev, hoping he’ll depart the village.

Taking to Facebook, one viewer posted: “Seems very obvious to me who’s robbed and trashed the café, and it’s not Kev”, as another responded: “I think Ross.”

A 3rd contributed: “I think it’s Ross and Kev get the blame and Lewis tells him to leave”, while another concurred: “I bet Nic asked Ross to do it, so he will go.

“Prob Ross and Nicola to body Kev, get him out of the village away from Lewis”, suggested another, while one viewer mirrored the opinion and posted: “Ross or Nicola attempting to body Kev.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
