Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have parted methods, and an inside source has finally revealed how the divorce is taking part in out.

“There was never any desire to drag the process out,” a source told PEOPLE about Jelly Roll (born Jason DeFord) and Bunnie Xo (real identify Alisa DeFord). The high-profile ex-couple finalized their divorce earlier this month. “They both wanted to handle the divorce with respect for one another,” the source added.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE on Friday, July 17, that Jelly and Bunnie had filed for divorce the same day that the country star released his new “Hands Up” music video.

The ex-couple will be dividing their material wealth, including homes, cars, a private plane, and their intellectual properties, according to reports by GWN. The musician will reportedly also send a one-time, confidential lump-sum payment to Bunnie, 46, to avoid alimony claims in court.

However, despite the split, Bunnie said on her podcast that she and Jelly are “still having a baby together.”

“We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is,” Bunnie clarified in the June 18 episode of her podcast Dumb Blonde. “Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”

An insider source also told DailyMail that the pair need to continue growing their household.

“As of proper now, Jelly and Bunnie stay dedicated to increasing their household despite the long and emotional IVF journey they have been through,” the insider continued. “After beforehand dropping embryos, they’re hopeful the remaining embryos will lead to a profitable being pregnant through their surrogate. They aren’t giving up even if their marriage is and will stay over.”

Bunnie has previously spoken openly about their IVF journey. The podcaster explained that the pair had lost four embryos, and that Jelly Roll had to take “a bunch of hormones” for the method.
