California-based Uber has announced a major organizational restructuring, revealing plans to remove 10% of its global workforce, impacting roughly 3,300 staff.
According to Uber’s latest regulatory submitting, the job cuts will affect a global workforce of roughly 36,600 staff, about 14,600 of whom are in the US.
Drivers and couriers who use the Uber platform should not counted among those staff and should not half of the layoffs.

The shakeup may very well be felt notably exhausting in Uber’s home state—where the company has a huge footprint.
