Shane Wendler and John Sullivan posed for a picture at Servite’s baseball diamond. One is a top pitcher, the other a top first baseman. Each had one arm around the other as pals and teammates do.
But come November, when the early school signing day occurs, Wendler will signal with USC and Sullivan with UCLA.

Each guarantees off the discipline they are going to keep pals. But come school, if Wendler is carrying a Trojan cap on the mound and Sullivan is standing in the batter’s box in his blue and gold Bruin uniform, there may be a little smile from both before the aggressive juices of the rivalry come out in the open for all to see.
For now, new Servite baseball coach Eric Borba is just joyful to have two high quality gamers on his crew, though beware what occurs and what is said during USC-UCLA soccer week.
