Serj Tankian new music
In October 2025, Serj Tankian launched his fifth studio album “Covers, Collaborations & Collages.”
Over the course of ten songs, the legendary singer embraces a handful of genres and sounds to create a wholly Serj-ian expertise.
We start with the somber “Electric Dreams.” No prospers right here, just a haunting acoustic guitar lick and Serj gently singing about “electric dreams (carrying him) through the night.”
After that, issues take a flip for the bizarre. “A Seed” seems like a “system literally went down” with discordant glitches under Tankian’s haunting vocals. Next, he earnestly delivers a susceptible piano ballad in “I’m Counting On You.” This is just not the album we have been anticipating at all…and we’re right here for it.
Later high factors in the sonically-expansive file embody the mellow yet jaunty and considerably foreboding “I’m In Heaven,” mellow, jazzy “I Found You,” return to type melodic thrash banger “Kneeling Away From The Sun,” anxious rock opera “Apocalyptic Dance” and folksy album nearer “When Death Arrives” that turns into a fist-pumping battle cry midway through before turning into a somber affair all over again.
What a journey.
To hear for your self, you will discover “Covers, Collaborations & Collages” right here.
Editor’s Note: Since the release of the album, Serj has launched a pair of singles. Click right here to test them out.
