A five-year-old boy and his father had been taken into custody by ICE brokers, with the father accused of abandoning the youngster. According to JD Vance, the ICE brokers didn’t have a alternative on the matter, that they had been “saving” the boy’s life.
Vance, who is pro-ICE, said: “Are they supposed to let a five-year-old child freeze to death? Are they not supposed to arrest an illegal alien in the United States of America?”
The youngster, Liam Romas, and his father, Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, had been both detained in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and transported to San Antonio, Texas.
The incident took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday, with the father and son being held at a detention center in San Antonio, Texas.
Nick Sortor, a conservative influencer and media personality in Washington D.C., shared a video to X, writing: “INSIDE the facility housing the 5 year old saved by ICE following his illegal father abandoning him.”

The video was reportedly filmed inside the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, which is approximately 70 miles southwest of downtown San Antonio.
In the video, numerous children are seen sitting at little cubbies on computers, which was appears to be a library.
The cubbies are colorful and the the shelves are stacked with books.
There appears to be about 12 or more children, ranging from three years old and up, to approximately 12 or 13 years old.
The video then cuts to a different room, which looks like a classroom with six children sitting at desks. The children are sitting at the desks with paper and pencil, and appear to be doing schoolwork.
In a third scene, children are seen playing basketball in a gym.
From there, children are seen outdoors, eating at picnic benches and playing basketball.
A woman’s voice is heard off camera, saying, “Enjoying the breeze a little bit while it’s still cool,” with a man responding: “That’s right.”

Sorton, who shared the video, refers to Liam’s father as being “illegal,” but Arias’s family denies that claim, saying he arrived to the country legally.
The family’s attorney, Marc Prokosch, said: “The family did everything they were supposed to in accordance with how the rules have been set out.”
According to Prokosh, the father and son arrived to the U.S. at a port of entry, an official crossing level, and there was no deportation order made against them.
