American Idol fans demand one finalist wins as top | TV Shows

The American Idol Season 23 finale quickly took a turn for fans after the show revealed who came in third place.

A new champ will be crowned, succeeding the title from Abi Carter, after new information emerged about what exactly contestants get from the show other than exposure.

And while many fans were left furious over brutal axings all season long, they still tuned in to see who between Breanna Nix, John Foster and Jamal Roberts would be cast as a new champion.

Unfortunately for one of them, they were eliminated about halfway through the show, coming in third.

And for fans, it led to a major revolt. 

Others slammed the result to state that they hoped Jamal would now be crowned as the winner. 

“ALL MY HOMIES HATE AMERICAN IDOL. It shoulda been Brianna and Jamal g—–n white country boy went thru instead. I FEEL TERRIBLE. Jamal kick his a–,” one person said. 

“Breanna Nix was ROBBED!! Jamal is great, but the country guy… cmon, @AmericanIdol,” another said.

The American Idol Season 23 finale is airing on ABC.
