“A male wrestler was injured during a match – hit his head on a ringpost,” an emergency operator is heard saying in a call obtained by the outlet.
Operators might be heard requesting “lifting assistance” at the theatre in another call, including that cops and EMS are already on scene.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Williams died following a medical disaster, but no preliminary trigger of death was said.
During the match, docs ran into the ring when it turned obvious that Williams wasn’t doing effectively, according to the Pittsburgh-based group Love Wrestling, which organized the event.
