Anthony Joshua has made a heartbreaking go to to a funeral home to bid his remaining farewell to Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, following his discharge from hospital. The British boxer suffered minor accidents in the accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday, but tragically, both of his close pals didn’t survive.

The champion fighter has been discharged from the Lagos medical facility. Now, the 36-year-old will recuperate at his residence in Nigeria, but prior to that, he accompanied his mom to the funeral home where Ghami and Ayodele’s our bodies are being stored.

An official assertion launched by local authorities said: “The governments of Lagos and Ogun states, once again, commiserate with the two families of the two young men – Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami – who tragically and unfortunately lost their lives in the road accident involving Anthony Joshua.

“We pray The Almighty grant the repose of their souls while granting their households and family members the fortitude to bear this very unhappy and painful loss.

“Anthony Joshua was discharged from hospital late this afternoon though heavy hearted and full of emotions over the loss of his two close friends he was deemed clinically fit to recuperate from home.

“Anthony and his mom had been at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their remaining respects to his two departed pals as they had been being ready for repatriation scheduled for later this night.

“Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu deeply appreciate the public concern and show of love and affection over this very sad and unfortunate incident.

“They also respect Mr President. His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for all fatherly assist he gave throughout the method.

“We also want to appreciate the team of doctors and medical personnel at the Lagoon Hospital Ikoyi that attended to Anthony and those that sustained injuries. The quality of care and professionalism is truly commendable.”

Joshua was in a black SUV when it collided with a stationary lorry, tragically ensuing in the loss of two of the boxer’s close pals.

The authorities are still investigating the crash, with police now looking for the lorry driver who had unlawfully parked his vehicle on the motorway’s laborious shoulder.

“He was parked on the side of the highway – which is illegal – he had not broken down and he was not with the vehicle when the accident happened,” confirmed a Nigerian police officer.
