Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey reunite for Sunday…
It’s a “Wicked” reunion.
Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey are set to seem in a revival of “Sunday in the Park with George.”
The pair, who most lately starred together as Glinda and Prince Fiyero in “Wicked: For Good,” appeared to affirm their upcoming project in a joint Instagram post from the Art Institute of Chicago on Wednesday.
“All it has to be is good,” Grande, 32, and Bailey, 37, wrote in the caption of their post, which is a line from the musical’s signature tune “Finishing the Hat.”
The “Wicked” pair also included a image sitting in entrance of Georges Seurat’s well-known portray “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” which reportedly impressed Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s authentic 1984 show.

“What a beautiful way to announce it,” one individual wrote in the feedback part.
“This is such a good idea,” added another.
“I’m going to have a heart attack,” commented a third thrilled fan, while a fourth shared, “Ariana and Jonathan in ‘Sunday in the Park with George’ confirmed! I’m shaking!”

The “7 Rings” pop star and “Bridgerton” actor’s performances will kick off at the Barbican Centre in London in summer season 2027, according to the venue’s web site.
Directed by Marianne Elliot with design by Tom Scutt, the manufacturing will mark the latest adaptation of Sondheim and Lapine’s beloved musical since it initially premiered on Broadway almost 42 years in the past.
Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters starred in the unique Pulitzer Prize-winning manufacturing as Georges Seurat and his mistress, Dot, during Act 1, adopted by the couple’s descendants, George and Marie, during Act 2.

The musical was beforehand revived on Broadway in 2017 with Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford in the lead roles.
However, Grande and Bailey received’t be the only two sharing a reunion when the play arrives at the Barbican Centre next summer season.
Bailey and Elliott beforehand labored together for a London revival of Sondheim’s “Company” in 2018 and a West End revival of Mike Bartlett’s “Cock” in 2022.

The news comes just weeks after the previous Nickelodeon star revealed that she was taking a break from her music profession after her 41-date Eternal Sunshine tour later this 12 months.
“The last 10 or 15 years will look very different from the ones that are coming up,” she shared during Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast in November. “I don’t want to say anything definitive.”
“I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time,” Grande added. “I’m going to give it my all, and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah!’”

More lately, the future “Focker In-Law” and “American Horror Story” star teased a mysterious new project – although she remained hush-hush on the small print.
“I can’t say much yet, but it’s something that inspires me deeply,” Grande told Variety on Jan. 9. “It contains multitudes.”
