Bachelor Nation’s Sydney Warner refuses to back down from her controversial stance on the Love Island franchise, even after going through backlash for labeling the show “disgusting.”
The Bachelor veteran, who appeared on Peter Weber’s season in 2020, used social media to voice her criticism of the standard Peacock sequence, where single contestants pair up and vie for a financial reward.
While the show attracts hundreds of thousands of viewers keen to witness the unfolding drama, and even creates stars who then get forged on other reveals later on, the 31-year-old actuality star counts herself out, expressing her disapproval in a pointed social media assertion.
“A little food for thought: I see so many people talking about the lure of this show,” she posted to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, June 4.
“Instead of consuming content centered on temptation, lust, drama, and unhealthy relationships, I’d rather invest that time in growing my faith, learning something new, reading, or being fully present with my family.”, studies the Mirror US.

“I want to influence what’s now the ‘new norm’ of watching young adults on television be, quite frankly, absolutely disgusting,” she continued. “None of us is perfect, and this isn’t about being better than anyone else. It’s simply about being intentional with what we allow to influence our hearts and minds.”
Her remarks triggered a wave of “hateful messages” in response, prompting Warner to issue a follow-up post where she maintained her place while acknowledging the adverse suggestions she’d encountered.
“I just wanna say…the amount of grateful messages that I have received over speaking on my value system has really surprised me,” she wrote.
“I want to be clear about something: sharing my personal convictions is not the same as condemning anyone else,” she continued.

“I’ve always wanted this page to be a place where women can connect, encourage one another, and have honest conversations. That doesn’t require us to agree on everything.
“My values aren’t decided by what’s standard, and I do not base my perception system on not being ‘ignored,'” she continued. “Even though being ignored will not be a good feeling for anybody. We can disagree without being merciless.
“We can have different beliefs without attacking one another, and I hope this community can be a place where both kindness and conviction still exist.”
After her look on The Bachelor, she wed San Francisco 49ers participant Fred Warner, and the couple now has two youngsters together.
