BBC viewers are threatening to ‘swap off’ following modifications to the broadcaster’s schedule.
Regular programming on BBC One has been disrupted since Thursday night, with news and election coverage changing regular exhibits from the start of Friday.
BBC Breakfast gave manner to election programming that ran through until Question Time at 7.30pm, with only news bulletins breaking up the coverage.
As a end result, common daytime favourites including Morning Live, Rip Off Britain, Homes Under The Hammer and Bargain Hunt have been all axed from BBC One.

One individual said: “Why have we got wall to wall coverage and an Election Special on the BBC? I thought these were council elections?”
Another echoed: “Why is the BBC running overnight, point-by-point coverage to local election results when they have already acknowledged that the vast majority of councils won’t have completed the count until tomorrow afternoon? Slow news day?”
“Isn’t that what the News Channel is for,” another wrote, as one individual said: “Will do my best to miss this. This is over the top coverage and not needed and I bet most of the people will not be interested. I hope the bbc publish the viewing figures.”
Another added: “Bit of a overkill just for local elections. I know it’s big but did they do this for GE I can’t remember.”
“So… Netflix, anybody?” one individual wrote, while another commented: “I’ll switch off then.”

Someone else said: “What the f**k are BBC 1 doing having council election results over 3 different programmes on, I’ve never seen anything like it. Absolutely ridiculous, it may as well be GB News.”

Another wrote: “I generally prefer Gossip Wire News but the BBC are pretty goated for election coverage and results graphics.”
The One Show has also been cancelled on Friday evening, with host Alex Jones beforehand warning: “We are off tomorrow because of the election coverage.”
Question Night often airs on Thursdays, but is exhibiting a post-election particular on Friday, with filming going down in London.
Host Fiona Bruce said last week: “Let me just say that we are in London next week for our programme and we are not going to be on air on Thursday. That’s the results night for the elections.
