Blake Lively has damaged her silence following Taylor Swift’s album release of The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor dropped her twelfth studio album on October 3, with followers across the world going wild for the new assortment of music. The pleasure was so high among Swifties that Spotify crashed briefly as followers tried to pay attention to The Life of a Showgirl as soon as it got here out.

The album has been called her “raunchiest” yet due to one specific tune, Wood, which has many listeners blushing. The tune alludes to fiancé, Travis Kelce‘s manhood. However, there are quite a few other mentions of her beau, many of them truly fairly candy. 

Since the album’s release, many of Taylor’s A-list mates have shared their assist with the star, including Sabrina Carpenter and 50 Cent, whose identify is talked about in one of the tracks.

However, many followers have been shocked to see that Blake Lively had reacted to The Life of a Showgirl on Instagram. On a post by Taylor celebrating the album’s launch, eagle-eyed followers observed that alongside Kylie Kelce, Blake Lively had “liked” the image.

Blake and Taylor have been mates for 10 years, but rumors have swirled just lately that the pair have grow to be more distant. The duo first revealed their friendship in August 2015 with a candy image taken in Australia, then in 2017, Blake’s and husband, Ryan Reynolds’s daughter, James, was talked about on Taylor’s tune, Gorgeous.

In 2020, their youngsters are identify dropped in Taylor’s Folklore album, with James, Inez, and Betty also talked about in the monitor, Betty. As the years went by, the pair continued their friendship with Ryan, confirming that Taylor is the godmother to his daughters. Yet in May 2025, it was reported that the A-list duo’s friendship had “halted.”

After Blake began legal proceedings against Justin Baldoni, her It Ends With Us co-star, a source told PEOPLE, “Their friendship has halted. Taylor wants no part in this drama,” with another insider saying that they’re “taking some space” from each other.

According to a criticism filed by Justin in January 2025, Blake referred to the Bad seen injury singer as one of her “dragons” in an alleged textual content message, one thing that supposedly angered Taylor.

Fans have also theorized that Taylor’s new tune, Cancelled!, was written in protection of Blake and Taylor’s friendship. The monitor proclaims that the 35-year-old likes her “friends cancelled,” and notes that they’ll always depend on her friendship, regardless of what occurs to them in the public eye.
