Boy George breaks silence on Eurovision failure after | UK News


International celebrity Boy George has thrown his hat in the ring to write next yr’s Eurovision Song Contest entry for the UK after The Culture Club star took half in the show representing San Marino this yr. His management had been approached by Senhit and he recalled: “First of all, I thought it was going to be for the UK and I thought ‘oh that’s strange’.

“Then, when he said it was San Marino, I used to be like, ‘Is that allowed?’ So I did a little bit of Chat GPT to discover out, and apparently it’s. I like that, suppose for me, it is great to flip up where you are least anticipated,” he laughed.

The star was speaking as he was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement gong at the 2026 British LGBT Awards following busy period.
