Brandy abruptly walks offstage during concert with…
Brandy and Monica’s followers need solutions.
The famous person duo ended their Chicago concert on Saturday early after Brandy, 46, instantly walked offstage mid-performance and never returned.
As seen in social media videos from the show, Brandy was performing onstage at Chicago’s United Center when she appeared to get pissed off with sound points and stopped singing.

“Give me one second y’all I gotta get my…” Brandy told the viewers as she walked offstage.
Monica, 44, ultimately had to carry out the remaining of the songs by herself, with the exception the pair’s hit duet, “The Boy Is Mine.”

Fans who attended the concert shared their views of what went down on X (previously Twitter).
“I went to the Chicago The Boy Is Mine Tour stop. Brandy walked off stage & said sum like ‘give me a sec yall’ We never saw her again. Monica came out, monologued, sat, sung and left. No bye, no nothing. Screen went off. Lights came on and they told us to get out,” one fan wrote.
“Brandy literally went to fix her sound and didn’t come back, we sat there and got no explanation or goodbye for 20-30 minutes,” another fan said.
“Imagine going to the Boy is Mine Tour and they never play the song. Brandy walked off stage mid set, cut her mic mid sentence and never came back,” a third concertgoer tweeted.
A different fan wrote, “Brandy [is] from a different generation. She saying get it together or this aint happening. Obviously this is a production issue. It’s QUALITY control. Not throwing a fit. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do & early on so people respect.”

Brandy addressed the incident in a assertion to The Post on Sunday.
“To my dear fans in Chicago, Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and—most importantly—your prayers,” Brandy said. “I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint, everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.”
“I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling ok. With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production, I really appreciate everyone’s best efforts,” Brandy continued. “I’m deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support.”
Brandy went on, “I went from the arena to see a doctor nearby and have taken the proper precautions to help moving forward. Your understanding, patience, and unwavering belief mean the world to me. I look forward to returning to the stage—stronger and more grateful than ever—alongside my girl, Monica, tonight in Indianapolis.”

Brandy and Monica are co-headlining their joint “The Boy Is Mine Tour” to have a good time their chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning duet from 1998.
“I see it as so much bigger than just a hit record,” Brandy told Essence earlier this month. “At the time, it was two young women coming together, bringing our voices and our stories into one moment — and the world connected with it in a way we couldn’t have imagined.”
“To see how that song connected with people all over the world — and still does — is such a blessing,” she added.

The tour kicked off on Oct. 16 and concludes Dec. 14, that includes particular friends Kelly Rowland, Muni Long and 2025 “American Idol” winner Jamal Roberts at arenas all over North America.
Brandy and Monica had a years-long feud that began from their backstage struggle at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards, but they ultimately made amends and determined to staff up for their tour.

“I think that even though the lyrical content and some of what started to play out created more division than it did togetherness, we’ve taken control of that, and we’re making what the legacy of this song would be totally different for the next generation,” Monica told Essence.
