CAIR Launches New Muslims.Vote Drive for 2026 | Political News

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) desires to make sure all American Muslims get out to vote in November. And, they are going to be encouraging the Muslim group to vote for Democrats, because of course they’ll. CAIR’s new initiative is called Muslims.Vote, and yes, it will likely be aimed at serving to the political left. At least it seems to be like they don’t seem to be alone in getting their co-religionists out to vote.

A new national initiative has launched to encourage Muslim Americans to vote forward of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

The initiative comes after Christian, Jewish and nonpartisan nonprofit organizations have launched comparable voter registration and get out the vote initiatives.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the biggest Muslim civil rights and advocacy group in the U.S., launched Muslims.Vote, a non-partisan civic engagement marketing campaign to equip American Muslims with instruments and sources to vote.

Republican Govs. Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas have designated CAIR a international terrorist group. CAIR rejects the designation and sued both governors. CAIR gained its lawsuit in Florida. Its lawsuit in Texas is ongoing.

Of the estimated more than 8 million Muslims in America, more than 2.5 million are registered to vote.

That’s a vital constituency, and the overwhelming majority of them will vote Democrat. Bet on it. Look at the states they’re targeted on:

CAIR has recognized 12 states where it says concentrated Muslim communities are positioned and Muslim voters could make an impression: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The outcomes of races in these 12 states “will decide control of the U.S. House and Senate, our mobilization is not symbolic – it is decisive,” CAIR argues.

Of those states, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas are Republican-dominated, at least outdoors of the major cities. But a severe push by the left, including by American Muslims, might tip a few city and suburban districts. And here is the factor: If these of us are legally registered to vote, then CAIR has every proper to encourage them to do so. There are actually Christian organizations that do likewise.

An identical argument has been made by American Renewal Project founder David Lane. For many years, Lane has been concerned in encouraging evangelical Protestant Christians and prolife Roman Catholics to vote. He’s also inspired pastors to run for workplace.

“If we stay home, candidates who oppose biblical values will win and then draft and pass legislation to codify into law their values,” Lane told The Center Square. “We’re asking the living God to move into the public square of America.”

And therein lies the reply. Look, no one to the political proper of Vyacheslav Molotov desires to suppose a lot of CAIR, and with good motive. But they’ve the same First Amendment rights as anybody to promote their agenda, just as Mr. David Lane does, and as long as they aren’t encouraging or aiding anybody to register or vote illegally, they’re within their rights.

So, those of us on the suitable are just going to have to be better at it than they’re. This midterm election is starting to form up to a turnout election, and traditionally, Republicans have not executed so effectively on those, particularly in the midterms.

We have to do better this 12 months. We just plain have to do better. Vote! Vote! Vote!

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will decide the destiny of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must preserve control of both chambers of Congress.
