“Get ready with me with one hand,” Pearce joked while placing on make-up. “So, last night, I was getting ready to eat dinner after my show, and I went to open a bottle of ranch dressing that was a glass bottle.”
“When I went to open the bottle of ranch, it snapped off and a piece of glass cut my thumb,” she said.
At first, Pearce didn’t assume that it was too dangerous a cut. But after getting her thumb checked out by paramedics, she realized that it was deeper than she realized.

“All of a sudden, I thought that ketchup was running down my hand, and it actually was blood,” the “Truck on Fire” hitmaker continued. “We had a few paramedics on-site at the show, so we decided just to have a look at it, and they told me I needed a few stitches.”
“What I didn’t know was that the ride to the ER would be in an ambulance, and it’s policy that the patient has to sit on the stretcher and be strapped in,” she added.
After sitting for an X-ray and receiving her stitches, Pearce returned to her home in Nashville, Tenn.

But life for the “Next Girl” singer hasn’t been simple without the use of her proper hand.
“I’m kind of figuring out how to do things, not the way that I would,” Pearce said while making use of basis and eyeliner to her face. “My assistant almost had to shave my left armpit because I didn’t think I could reach it.”
“It is interesting trying to figure out how to do these normal things, like pull your pants up after you pee,” she added.

Pearce is at present scheduled to carry out at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Thursday night time.
Although she often holds her microphone with her proper hand, the “Should’ve Known Better” songstress is assured that she will be able to still carry out without a hitch.

Earlier this 12 months, Pearce revealed that she was recognized with a coronary heart condition called pericarditis.
The Grammy winner detailed her “intense” symptoms during an look on “Today” back in January.
“I had a really debilitating chest pain that was only relieved if I bent over like this, and that’s a classic symptom of pericarditis,” she explained at the time.

“And then when you lay back, it gets way worse because that wall is kind of inflamed around your heart,” Pearce continued. “I just had a really intense shortness of breath, almost having to suck through a straw.”
The “What He Didn’t Do” singer also revealed that she has lived with the center condition for 5 years.
“I’m doing better. I’m healthy, I’m trying to find my new normal,” she shared. “I have what’s called recurrent pericarditis. I’ve had several flares since 2020.”

Pearce shared another health update in March during an interview with Fox News Digital.
“I’m doing a lot better,” she told the outlet. “I’m still on a health journey in general to continue to hope that this recurrent pericarditis isn’t recurrent.”
“My biggest piece of advice for anybody is: Listen to your body, and be your own advocate,” Pearce concluded. “A lot of doctors dismissed me, and I was persistent until I got a diagnosis.”
