On April 17, Meloni, 65, took to social media and shared a short video to talk about the cancellation of his NBC cop drama, Law & Order: Organized Crime. The Law and Order spinoff ran for about 4 seasons on the community. The collection then aired its fifth and closing season on the streaming platform, Peacock.
The former Special Victims Unit actor captioned the post, “Thank you, OC/SVU fans. You gave me a life.” Unfortunately, Netflix had also eliminated his past show, Happy!, which had viewers “hooked from episode one.”
Meloni hesitated speaking to the digital camera before he said, “Hey, everyone, I just saw that they announced OC, Organized Crime, won’t be coming back.”

Meloni’s eyes began to change into watery as he choked up and went on, “Good ride. It was a good ride. I had a great time playing him.”
He paused, moved his eyes around, and appeared to suppose about closing phrases before closing, “Thank you. You helped give me a career I never dreamed of. You know, 17 odd years.”
