The “greatest crime drama of all time” is offered to stream for free now. Premiering in 1987, Inspector Morse introduced to life the veteran detective from Colin Dexter’s novels. Endeavour Morse, a senior officer at the Criminal Investigating Department of the Oxford Police, seems to be into legal circumstances with the help of his trusted co-worker, Detective Sergeant Lewis. 

Each episode follows the duo as they examine advanced circumstances, which often hyperlink to secrets and techniques within Oxford’s social circles. John Thaw and Kevin Whatley star as Inspector Morse and Lewis respectively. The detective drama ran for seven series and an extra 5 specials before formally concluding in 2000. All 33 episodes might be streamed for free on ITVX.

The series sparked two spin-offs, including Lewis, which follows Morse’s companion. It ran for 9 seasons from 2006 to 2015.

The prequel, Endeavour, hit screens in 2012, operating for 9 seasons until 2023.

They did change the character of Morse completely, but I don’t care. I prefer John Thaw’s Morse, he is somewhat more likable.
