Company pulls ice cream off shelves after small stones found in pints……
A New York-based nondairy ice cream producer is voluntarily pulling pints of one of its merchandise off store shelves nationwide because they may include international materials like small stones, the Food and Drug Administration said.
Danone U.S. is recalling its So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints containing a number of best-by dates before Aug. 8, 2027.
The recall went into impact Dec. 15 and applies to only Danone’s Salted Caramel pints with best-by dates before Aug. 8, 2027, the FDA said. No other merchandise from the White Plains-based producer are included.
Small stones and other onerous objects have been found within cashews, the advisory said.
“So Delicious Dairy Free is working swiftly with retail partners to remove the potentially impacted product from shelves,” the FDA said. “In the meantime, the company has already identified and corrected this issue and will soon be able to bring back the frozen dessert so many people enjoy.”
The FDA advises customers to not eat the affected pints. For refunds, prospects can attain out to So Delicious Dairy Free at 1-833-367-8975 or through its web site.
Danone sells other food merchandise under the manufacturers Activia, Dannon and YoCrunch.
This summer season, Danone recalled “all flavors and sizes” of YoCrunch offered in shops nationwide after plastic items found within the packaging posed as potential choking hazards.

The plastic items have been found in packaging separate from the yogurt, in dome toppers that contained granola and other toppings.
“The plastic pieces are transparent, may have sharp edges, and could present a risk to consumers because some pieces are between 7 and 25 mm in length,” the company said in the July 11 recall.
Complaints by customers discovering the plastic items led to the recall, the company said.
In March, Danone pulled 75,000 bottles of its International Delight Coffee creamers after prospects said they have been getting sick from spoiled product.
