Coronation Street viewers have been hoping for a long-lasting union between Carla Connor (performed by Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) ever since they received together, and next week is perhaps the time it finally occurs. Fans of the ITV cleaning soap will recall Lisa popping the query to Carla following the tragic death of Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). But with Lisa’s feelings operating high after shedding her colleague, Carla admitted she did need to get married at some point, but needed her girlfriend’s proposal to come from love as opposed to grief.

In current weeks, Carla had the concept to suggest to Lisa by hiding an engagement ring in a glass of champagne, but she deserted the plan upon studying that Lisa’s late spouse, Becky, had used the same gesture to suggest. Although Lisa lately stopped carrying Becky’s ring, prepared to embrace her new life with Carla, there are still unresolved issues with her late spouse.

But this is put to the back of their minds next week when the thought of proposing arises again.

A nervous Carla explains to Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) that she’d like to ask Lisa to marry her, but only with her permission. Betsy assures Carla that it’s a great thought.

Carla decorates the garden to set the scene for their romantic proposal as she leads Lisa outdoors, but issues do not go to plan once again.

After Betsy informs her mum about Carla’s plan to suggest, Lisa reveals she’s received one thing up her sleeve. Will the couple finally get engaged?

Later, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) informs Lisa that Logan Radcliffe’s (Harry Lowbridge) uncle has been introduced in. When Lisa mentions how Logan gave Carla a dead-end lead about Tia Wardley, Kit’s shocked.

Kit calls the prison and finds out that Logan was segregated for combating after Carla’s go to. As Kit seems up Logan Radcliffe and Tia Wardley on the pc, will he make a breakthrough?

Logan returned to the cleaning soap at the start of August when he was visited in prison by Carla, who tried to discover out whether or not Becky had been a corrupt police officer.

Becky was under investigation for corruption when she died in the road of obligation, with Lisa now decided to uncover the reality about whether or not her spouse was really guilty.
