Coronation Street actor Jude Riordan left followers gobsmacked after posting hanging new pictures on social media. Jude joined the ITV cleaning soap in 2020 as Sam Blakeman, arriving on the cobbles as Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) secret son and rapidly profitable over viewers. Sam has featured in quite a few dramatic storylines on the programme, most notably the heartbreaking death of his mom Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac), who was murdered by villain Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

The gifted teenager secured the best newcomer award at the National Television Awards in 2021. Beyond Coronation Street, Jude has featured in Channel 4’s documentary The Secret Life of 4, 5 and 6 Year Olds in 2017 and portrayed Little Phil in Katy. He also starred in Sky One’s Brassic as Tyler Croft – with former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan taking part in his on-screen mom. Jude recurrently updates his 90,500 Instagram followers about his daily actions – but his latest post left them speechless.

The younger star lately astonished followers by revealing his dramatic transformation. On his Instagram account, Jude posted a number of photos from a latest photoshoot.

His admirers have been swift to voice their amazement at his growth, with one fan remarking: “Oh my gosh he’s grown up so much!” Another particular person noticed: “Grown up so fast.”

A 3rd exclaimed: “Oh my goodness, little dude! You look so grown up!”

It comes after followers nervous Sam had been “recast” after trying a lot different in Soapland.

He had to make clear on social media: “EDIT – I’m still Sam, it’s not a recast!” as somebody joked: “Has someone at Corrie been watering Jude between takes? When did this growth spurt happen?”

Another said: “Can’t call you little dude anymore!”
