Country music icon Ronnie McDowell was taken to hospital after he began slurring his speech during a stay efficiency at the Summer Solstice Music Festival in Oley, Pennsylvania.

The 75-year-old Older Women singer was in the center of his set on Saturday when attendees observed his speech was out of the blue off, as reported by Nashville’s WKRN radio station. McDowell’s tour supervisor noticed that the singer was “not making sense” after only “three or four songs.”

Out of quick concern, the supervisor intervened and escorted him from the stage to assess his situation, with McDowell admitting he did not really feel good when requested if he was okay.
