Dana White: 'I'm not saying no to Jon | MMA News
Former two division champion Jon Jones actually desires to be on next yr’s UFC battle card at the White House. He ended his retirement after two weeks when he heard the news that the battle promotion and the Trump administration have been planning the event.
UFC CEO Dana White initially rejected the thought of Jones being featured on the battle card giving Jones a one in a billion probability. On Thursday, White barely walked back those feedback.
“He has made it very clear that this is what he wants to do, but I need people on this card that I can count on, that no matter what happens, opponents get switched out, or whatever happens, I need guys that I can absolutely count on that are going to show up that night,” White told The W.A.D.E. Concept.
“I’m not saying no to Jon Jones, and I respect the fact that he’s pushing this heard, but Jon Jones and I just had a deal that he pulled out of, so he’s not on the top of my list even though, I say it all the time, he’s the greatest of all time. I still know that to be a fact. He’s not the greatest of all time guy you can count on that you know 100 percent is going to be solid and be there.”

Jones lately reiterated that he was not retired and back in the UFC’s anti-doping testing pool. He’s also back in the health club training.
“I am not retired,” Jones said at the MTV Video Music Awards. “I’m training for the event. I’ll be ready for the event. That’s my goal, that’s my intention. But ultimately it’s up to the boss.”
Jones last fought at UFC 309 last November, defeating former two-time heavyweight titleholder Stipe Miocic via TKO. It was Jones’ first and only heavyweight title protection.
