Dana White: 'You will never see Dillon Danis | MMA News

Controversial fighter Dillon Danis was in attendance for Saturday’s UFC 322: Della Maddalena vs. Makhachev event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. stunning no one, Danis was concerned in a melee in the fighters’ part with members of Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s workforce.

Video of the brawl shortly surfaced online. Danis was eliminated from the venue moments before the main card started.

Danis and Team Khabib have had a feud that dates back to 2018. Danis was one of Conor McGregor‘s main training companions for his UFC 229 title combat against Nurmagomedov. The buildup to the event was intense. Earlier that 12 months, McGregor had his dolly throwing incident backstage at UFC 223 focusing on Nurmagomedov.

After Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor, he jumped out of the octagon and attacked Danis in the gang.

After the UFC 322 melee, UFC CEO Dana White said Danis will never attend another UFC event again and blamed himself for the brawl occurring.

“I blame myself for that, actually,” White said during the UFC 322 Post-Fight Press Conference. “They came back and told me right before I walked out for the main card Dillon Danis was here and is moving around sitting in fighters’ seats and not sitting in his own seat that he had. He had a ticket. And they said, ‘Do you want us to throw him out of here?’ And I said, he has a ticket?

“They told me, [Jorge] Masvidal said he is going to f**ok him up on sight. I said, nicely, where’s Masvidal sitting? He said, ‘He’s six or seven rows away from Masvidal. I said, nicely, if the man has a ticket let him sit in his seat and let him do what he is doing and keep an eye on him.”

White hadn’t fully assessed the situation. It wasn’t Masvidal that he had to worry about Danis running into.

“It never even crossed my thoughts, as silly as this could possibly be, that all the Muslim brotherhood was right here tonight in the first 5 rows for Islam,” White said. “As soon as it broke out, I used to be over on the other facet and I am going, f**ok. I do know precisely what that is. I knew it.”

For White, Saturday’s incident was the last straw for Dillon Danis. The UFC CEO banned the Misfits Boxing MMA champ from ever attending a UFC event again.

“You will never see Dillon Danis at a UFC combat ever again,” said White. “You’ll never see him at another combat.”

White, and the UFC, declined to press charges against Danis. “I may have prevented this tonight and I messed up,” White concluded.
