DOE Takes a Scalpel to Nearly $8B in Blue

The initiatives are in the next states: CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT, WA

Anyway, sure enough, on Wednesday night, the Energy Department chimed in, sharing in a press release posted on X that after a review that began in May, they’d “determined that these projects did not adequately advance the nation’s energy needs, were not economically viable, and would not provide a positive return on investment of taxpayer dollars.”

Here are the places of work and businesses that had been awarded the money:

• Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)
• Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)
• Office of Grid Deployment (GDO)
• Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC)
• Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) and Fossil Energy (FE).

Long story short, the DOE said to the inexperienced vitality scammers: Not on our watch.

The Energy Department…said it terminated 321 awards supporting 223 initiatives, value about $7.56 billion. Roughly a quarter of those had been awarded between Election Day and Inauguration Day, the division said.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is also crying, but it is more along his regular speaking factors on the nation being in peril. In a quote-tweet on Vought’s X post asserting the cuts, he wrote: 

“Our democracy is badly damaged when a president can illegally droop initiatives for Blue states in order to punish his political enemies.”

And guess what? As RedState wrote, they’re going to keep stomping their feet and being mad, since the Energy Department hinted recently that they’re looking to slough off a grand total of $13 billion in former Pres. Joe Biden’s climate change boondoggles.

As someone once said, “Elections have penalties.”
