President Donald Trump claimed “big progress is being made” from the Geneva peace talks over the weekend, following an earlier handle from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who warned against seceding territory.
Trump took to Truth Social to trace that the U.S. and Ukraine have been probably making steps ahead to end the war in Ukraine, writing:
“Is it actually attainable that big progress is being made in the Peace Talks between Russia and Ukraine??? Don’t believe it until you see it, but something good just may be happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he wrote at 5:35 a.m. EST.

Prior to Trump’s social media post, Zelensky spoke via video call on Monday to a assembly at the Swedish Parliament, stressing that “borders cannot be changed by force.”
