When a shovenistic husband demanded that his new wife cook for him whenever he was hungry, she not only put this jerk in his place, she also turned to Reddit to ask for advice.

In the r/AmIOverreacting discussion board, the disgruntled wife wrote, “I primarily cook in our relationship and I enjoy it but my husband demands that I cook elaborate meals for him late at night.”

“I’m talking gnocchi and pies and meat wraps… It wouldn’t be a problem but I get tired after working all day and it just drains me to cook at midnight,” the OP continued.

The saying isn’t pleased husband, pleased life so the OP was shocked when she told her hubby properly that she didn’t signal up for being a short-order cook when she said “I do” and doesn’t need to be anticipated to cook on demand, particularly after a long day at work.

Well, that didn’t go over properly with this man-child, who pushed back, saying he was used to his mother always whipping up one thing in the kitchen for him and he anticipated his wife to do the same.

“It caused a fight and I told him I’m not doing it anymore. He now seems very distant,” she wrote.

By the time she finishes work, her husband is home and she begins getting dinner prepared.

“Tonight, I was in the middle of cooking, hands dirty, stove and oven on, and he asked if I could help change one of the kids while he held the other cause he was being fussy. I told him no, that I do this all day by myself AND work, and all I need is 20 minutes to cook for everyone.”

The husband really obtained upset that his busy wife couldn’t stop what she was doing to help him with their youngsters.
