Donald Trump rages at Fox News after guest slams | TV Shows

Donald Trump has lashed out at Fox News and questioned its political stance in a social media outburst on Truth Social.

The 79-year-old used his platform to criticize Fox News after the community featured Peter Schiff, who sharply attacked Trump‘s financial strategy. Appearing on the December 6 version of Fox and Friends, Schiff acknowledged, “I think that the inflation rate is going to accelerate as Trump’s term progresses. And, you know, the policies continue to impact pricing.”

Fox News anchor Griff Jenkins then tried to strike a more optimistic tone, informing the economist that there’s a “silver lining” in growing wages, while also floating the chance of a housing market correction that might help youthful Americans. But Schiff wasn’t shopping for it, warning viewers, “Unfortunately, it’s not going to get better for a long time.”

After the phase aired, Trump vented his frustration at Fox News for reserving Schiff as a guest, posting on Truth Social, “Why would Fox and Friends Weekend (of all things? ) put on a ‘Stockbroker’ named Peter Schiff, a Trump hating loser who has already proven to be wrong,” stories the Irish Star.

He went on, “Either the show made a mistake, or it is heading in a different direction,” before then asserting that while Schiff claimed costs are rising, they’re truly “coming down substantially.” Yet latest data suggests in any other case, with the average price of food growing by 3.1% over a 12-month period.

Trump concluded his tirade by insisting that Fox News examine the person accountable for inviting Schiff onto this system, stating, “Check out the ‘booker’ who put this jerk on.”

Schiff, however, refused to let Trump’s feedback go unchallenged, responding on X and daring the president to disprove his financial evaluation.

Hours after the printed, the economist posted on social media, “Since Pres. Trump called me a jerk and a loser for claiming that prices are still rising when he insists they’re coming way down. I challenge him, or his designee, to a debate on the U.S. economy and the efficacy of his policies. If I’m as wrong as he says I am, let him prove it.”

Viewers who watched the phase weighed in on the exchange across social media platforms, with quite a few people supporting Schiff’s place.

One commenter responded to Schiff’s post, “100%. I voted for the guy, but you are right on this one,” while another added, “Congrats, Peter. You’ve hit the radar, which means your voice is being impactful and moving the needle. Trump doesn’t waste time hunting down people who aren’t acutely threatening to him.”

Conversely, sure Trump supporters dismissed Schiff, arguing the president would not “waste” his time debating the economist.

“He ain’t debating you, Schiff, your reputation precedes you (not in a good way),” one X person commented, while another remarked, “Bro. Now you’re challenging the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to a debate. I PROMISE you are not as important as you’d like to be.”
