President Donald Trump warned that some of the U.S. munitions are “unthinkable” and “could end this thing in two seconds if you wanted to.”
While Trump did not say what he meant by “this thing,” the president is probably going referring to the U.S.-Israel battle on Iran, launched on Feb. 28. He made the remarks when questioned by a reporter why the Pentagon goes to ask Congress for an extra $200 billion {dollars} if the battle is “almost over”.
“We are asking for a lot of reasons, even beyond what we are talking about in Iran,” Trump said.
“The military equipment, the power of some of these weapons, is unthinkable. You don’t even want to know about it. Oh, you could end this thing in two seconds if you wanted to,” Trump said.
On Wednesday, the Washington Post reported that the Pentagon has requested the White House to approve a more than $200 billion request to the U.S. Congress to fund the battle in Iran, citing a senior administration official.
The battle on Iran has value the U.S. $11 billion in the first week alone, according to a number of officers, the outlet reported. The president has offered inconsistent and shifting timelines for the battle. At one level, he advised the battle may last 4 to 5 weeks. Later, he said the battle could end “very soon,” and at events has even said the battle is “almost over.”
