While Leavitt initially faced backlash when it came out that she used her role on Secret Lives to get on Dancing With the Stars, Hough admitted he commended her for being so open about her goals, and sharing she was the kind of person who helped draw an audience.

Season 34 went on to crown Robert Irwin as its winner, with social media personality Alix Earle placing second. Olympian gymnast Jordan Chiles took third while Traitors alum Dylan Efron placed fourth. Actress Elaine Hendrix took fifth, with Leavitt coming in sixth.

Season 35 appears to be following in Season 34’s footsteps when it comes to viral sensations joining the cast.

The first stars announced were Love Island‘s Maura Higgins and Summer House’s Ciara Miller. Both are also Traitors season four alums. Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson has also been confirmed to participate.
