Elton John and David Furnish have shared an emotional joint announcement as followers rushed to assist them. The Rocket Man singer, 78, headed to Singapore for the F1 Grand Prix, which noticed George Russell take the win and McLaren secure the Constructors’ Championship title for 2025. Elton was on stage to present the leisure at the sporting event – and David couldn’t get enough.

Sharing a candy snap of Elton at his piano with his fists raised, he wrote on Instagram: “WOW!!! Elton and his amazing band absolutely smashed it last night at the Singapore Grand Prix. 70,000 people were hobbing and bobbing all night. Thank you @f1nightrace for having us.”

Elton shortly responded: “An incredible night in Singapore!!”

Emotional followers headed to the feedback part, including Liz Hurley, who added a string of crimson coronary heart emojis.

Someone else wrote: “They were on fire! You guys rock.” While another echoed: “Elton is incredible and looks great, we love him and the incredible band.”

A 3rd social media consumer penned: “What a wonderful backdrop, 70,000 fans, super vibe on both sides carried by love and respect.”

It comes just days after the pair shared some “big news”, issuing an update on their ongoing charity work. They have managed to help more than two million people with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, but Elton insists “that’s not enough”.

The pair collectively posted: “Big News: The Rocket Fund aim is increasing to $200M! Since 2020, we’ve reached 2.2million people with lifesaving care. But global funding cuts and rising stigma are placing lives at risk. Now is the time to make sure no one is left behind. Just think about how a lot additional we will go – together.”

The video showed Elton saying: “We have achieved a lot, and I’m so proud of that, but that’s not enough. We have far more people to help.”
