Emmerdale viewers have been nervous about what is in store for Aaron Dingle (performed by Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) after Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) rocked up in the village. The pair have been getting nearer romantically ever since Aaron’s evil husband John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) fled the Yorkshire Dales to evade the police. However, spoilers have revealed issues are set to come crashing down for Robron – as followers affectionately call the couple. In scenes yet to air, Robert is alarmed to see Kev talking with his sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). She’s determined for an clarification relating to Kev, and urges Robert to inform Aaron the reality about how he is his prison husband. Later on, Robert is left flustered when Kev encounters Aaron, prompting Robert to query his means to preserve separate lives.

During the Inside Soap Awards, Emmerdale stars Bradley Riches and Shebz Miah said followers will “grow to love” Kev.
Bradley teased The Mirror: “There are some twists about him later on. He’s very good,” Shebz added: “The most amazing part is it embeds quite a few different characters across the soap.”
