“Outside of vacation or mission work? No,” Mullin answered.
Peters promptly corrected him, stating, “OK, your FBI report does show some travel. I think it was to Georgia and Azerbaijan. You marked that that was not for tourism.”
Looking like a deer in headlights, Mullin answered, “Are you referring to August of 2021st [sic] when we went to go get the Americans out of Afghanistan? That’s what that travel was for, which we did clarify that.”
“OK, I see. So, you have traveled,” Peters said, a matter-of-fact, triumphant tone to his voice. “You’ve traveled to Azerbaijan and Georgia. That was in your FBI report, although you just said you’ve never traveled.”
Now seeming to panic, Mullin claimed that he thought Peters was “referring to a different time” before clarifying, “But in 2021, it was well-documented. In fact, it was all over the news. And I actually did say that, and we put that down on the report. But that was us, which was all over the news, trying to go with an extremely experienced team.”
Satisfied, Peters responded, “I’ve got other questions, thank you. So, you have traveled overseas despite your previous comment.”

“It’s classified, sir,” Mullin replied when Peters requested follow-up questions for particulars. “The dates, location and mission, I’ve never spoken specifically details about.”
