This week will see the release of Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The thriller has managed to catch consideration due to the casting, affiliation of director Priyadarshan and the intriguing trailer. In this article, Bollywood Hungama will completely focus on the cuts given to the movie.
The Central Board of Film Certification has handed Haiwaan with a U/A 16+ certificates. However, they requested for sure cuts. A visible in the start of the movie was ‘suitably modified’. In the second half of the movie, a phrase was deleted and changed with ‘Kamina’. In the post-interval portion, a ‘derogatory’ phrase was deleted and changed with ‘Girlfriend’. Somewhere in the center of the movie, a ‘derogatory’ sentence was deleted and changed with ‘Dimaag ki vaat laga ke rakh di’. Thankfully, no visible cuts had been enforced. Hence, all the thrilling and motion packed visuals have been left untouched by the Examining Committee of the CBFC.
Once these modifications had been made, the CBFC handed the movie today, that is, September 8. The size of the movie, as talked about on the censor certificates, is 164.07 minutes. In other phrases, Haiwaan is 2 hours, 44 minutes and 7 seconds.
Besides Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, Haiwaan also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sayami Kher. It releases on September 11.
