Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has finally reacted to the stunning laborious disk theft case linked to Tiger Baby Digital LLP, the manufacturing company co-founded by her and filmmaker Reema Kagti. The incident, which reportedly includes the disappearance of 66 laborious disks containing delicate manufacturing data, has sparked concern across the leisure industry.

Speaking completely to Bollywood Hungama, Zoya Akhtar confirmed the robbery and acknowledged that the matter is presently under police investigation. Addressing the state of affairs, she said, “Yes there has been a robbery in my office, hard disks have been stolen. We filed a complaint and police has made some arrests as well. It’s an internal job, it’s sad to what extent people go to make money.”

The filmmaker, however, also revealed that the manufacturing home had safeguarded backup copies of the stolen content. “Luckily we have backup files of everything,” she added.

According to stories, the criticism was lodged by Mehjabeen Mushtaq Shaikh, who works as the chief assistant and HR administrator at Tiger Baby Digital LLP. Following the criticism, the Bandra police registered an FIR against Mohammad Shahid Azim Khan and Ritesh Suresh Shah. The accused had been later arrested and remanded to police custody until May 29.

The issue reportedly got here to gentle on May 21 after company workers members failed to find a number of laborious disks required for ongoing initiatives. An inside inspection allegedly revealed a number of broken storage containers and empty instances within the office premises.

The manufacturing company’s stock reportedly listed 119 laborious disks, of which 66 had been discovered lacking. The lacking drives are believed to have contained a huge quantity of production-related data, with storage capacities ranging from 16TB to 72TB.

Investigators suspect the stolen drives included uncooked footage, edited scenes, post-production recordsdata, archival backups, commercial marketing campaign materials, and unreleased content linked to movies and OTT initiatives. Reports also counsel that some of the data was related to common initiatives such as Made In Heaven and Ghost Stories.

Police officers reportedly acknowledged that one of the accused admitted to stealing a number of laborious disks over the past few months and allegedly promoting them in the gray market. Authorities are now analyzing whether or not any of the stolen data was copied, leaked, or circulated online before the drives disappeared.
