After being ousted from her merciless stepmother’s home and then shedding her job at a nation property, Benedict secured Sophie a place working for his mom, Violet (Ruth Gemmell), at Bridgerton House.

Unable to disguise their emotions for each other, Benedict and Sophie shared a romantic second on the servant’s stairwell, shortly before Benedict requested Sophie to be his mistress, according to the Mirror.

The ultimate quartet of episodes for the season was launched on the streaming platform last week (February 26), with Sophie and Benedict finally getting married, despite her illegitimate standing and her position as a maid. Alongside the festivity, the Bridgerton household also had to deal with sorrow, following the sudden death of Francesca’s (Hannah Dodd) husband, John Stirling (Victor Alli).

The latest batch of episodes also heralded the return of eldest son, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), and his spouse, Kate (Simone Ashley), who fell in love in season two. The couple made their comeback with their son, Edmund, marking the first time viewers have seen them since they left for India during Kate’s being pregnant in season three.

Anthony was shortly called back to London by his mom, with Kate and Edmund ultimately becoming a member of him. Kate launched her new child to the household before the couple made another look during the shock post-credits wedding ceremony scene.

However, followers have been disillusioned with the restricted screen time Anthony and Kate obtained this season.

The show has since posted a pleasant behind-the-scenes video of actors Jonathan and Simone with their on-screen child, prompting Instagram customers to shortly call on showrunners to give the household their own spin-off. Fans voiced their want to see Anthony and Kate spend time in India with Kate’s youthful sister, Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran), who was initially engaged to the eldest Bridgerton sibling.
