A press release studies that the group will mark the twentieth anniversary of its signature Fine Art + Fashion benefit on April 29 at the Atlanta History Center, honoring Lynn Whitfield, Jeremy Haynes, and Michi Meko for their lasting contributions to movie, fashion, and visible artwork.
Emmy-winning icon, Whitfield, will obtain the Cultural Icon Award, recognizing a profession outlined by show-stopping performances and cultural affect.
Haynes, also recognized as @NoIGJeremy, a Clark Atlanta University alum whose styling work has formed the photographs of artists including Mary J. Blige, Usher, and Missy Elliott, might be honored with the Style (*20*) Award.
Meko, a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines the African American expertise through themes of navigation, survival, and space, will obtain the Radcliffe Bailey Excellence in Visual Arts Award.
Presented in collaboration with Neiman Marcus and Greenberg Traurig, the milestone night will characteristic a curated exhibition of scholar art work from NBAF’s NextGen program, a seated dinner with premium drinks, live music, and a runway presentation showcasing a curated choice from Neiman Marcus.
NBAF provides that past celebrating established icons, the benefit will also highlight the next era of creatives. NBAF will award scholarships to winners of its 2026 Fashion Forward Student Design Competition and NextGen Visionary Artist Competition, offering younger artists with financial help, skilled publicity, and the chance to showcase their work during the event and in Neiman Marcus Atlanta.
The group notes that proceeds from Fine Art + Fashion will help NBAF’s year-round programming, including arts training initiatives centered on underserved youth of African descent.
