The first trailer for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere has dropped, and not everyone seems to be thrilled about it.

Starring Jeremy Allen White as ‘The Boss’ himself, the movie is set to hit cinemas on October 24 and charts the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, broadly regarded by followers and critics as one of his most intimate and stripped-back data.

In the trailer, the 34-year-old Emmy winner is seen performing ‘Born to Run’ and while some followers had been full of reward for White’s transformation, others had been far from satisfied.

“Outstanding choice for an actor to portray Bruce… I mean Spot on! I can not wait to check this out,” one excited fan posted on Instagram. Another consumer added: “What a cast, what a magnificent choice Jeremy is to play Bruce. After watching this movie I’m gonna need you to change the name from “ship me from nowhere” to “ship me to the hospital” because holy s**t.”

However, not everybody appeared satisfied by the casting of the US actor, best identified for taking part in hot-headed chef Carmy in Hulu’s The Bear. One unimpressed consumer opined,”Sigh… I adore Bruce but I’m sorry to say that I just don’t see Bruce Springsteen in this actor.”

And the criticism didn’t stop there. Springsteen’s outspoken political opinions also appeared to stir up resentment, with some saying they wouldn’t be watching the movie at all.

The singer not too long ago made headlines during his May 15 live performance in Manchester, where he launched a scathing assault on Donald Trump’s presidency.

While introducing Land of Hope and Dreams, Springsteen, 75, mentioned: “The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock ‘n roll in dangerous times.

“In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.

“Tonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!”

But followers had been much less than impressed — and made their emotions crystal clear.

“Has the chance to be good but I get the feeling it might not perform very well considering he just alienated half his audience,” one particular person wrote.

Another consumer blasted: “Ahhh, now all his recent anti-American rhetoric makes sense now, he was trying to make himself relevant to drum up interest in this garbage.”

And in a significantly fiery post, one consumer mentioned: “Screw Springsteen’s anti-American a**! Don’t go see this. He gets zero support from me.”
