Fox News critics fume is this a joke as Lara | TV Shows

Fox News viewers have been left fuming after Lara Trump fiercely defended ICE’s actions after the deadly taking pictures of an intensive care nurse in Minneapolis.

Alex Jeffrey Pretti was killed by a US Border Patrol officer while taking part in a protest in the Minnesota metropolis.

His household said the 37-year-old was upset by President Donald Trump‘s immigration crackdown in his metropolis, and had joined protests following the January 7 killing of Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer.

Last night time 43-year-old Lara, who is married to the president’s son, Eric Trump, 42, spoke to US Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Southwest Florida District 19, on Fox News.

She requested, “In the last 30 seconds or so that we have, Congressman, I wonder what your message would be to those ICE agents and all the people out there from the law enforcement agencies who have been working so hard?”

Rep. Donalds, 47, said, “First of all, I want to thank you for your service to the country. Number two, I’m sorry that you’re having to deal with all these protests which are being thrown at your by the radical left Democrats.”

He added, “We stand behind you, we want you to continue to do your job, on behalf of the United States of America and all of the American people.”

But Fox News viewers had been left outraged by the exchange and after a clip was shared on X, one wrote, “IS THIS A JOKE??”

Another tweeted, “‘I’m sorry you have to kill your fellow Americans…'” A 3rd posted, “What a sad piece of s–t.”

Someone else shared, “No apology to the man who was murdered. Instead, THEY THANK THE F—–G MURDERERS.”

One more posted, “Byron Donalds is a typical self-serving, soulless MAGA Trump supporter, totally immoral and with no sense of criminality and right and wrong!!

“It is a actually unhappy commentary on our society that people like him are even in a place to run for high political workplace, let alone get elected!!”

“You are so pathetic,” a critic shared. “That’s like thanking an SS veteran for his service in ww2,” a person added.

Pretti’s family said after his killing on Saturday, January 24, that he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed getting in adventures with Joule, his beloved Catahoula Leopard dog who also recently died.

He worked for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, they added. His father, Michael Pretti, said, “He cared about people deeply and he was very upset with what was taking place in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as thousands and thousands of other people are upset.

“He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street. He cared about those people, and he knew it was wrong, so he did participate in protests.”

Pretti was a US citizen, born in Illinois. Like Good, court data confirmed he had no felony document and his household said he had never had any interactions with law enforcement past a handful of site visitors tickets.

In a latest dialog with their son, his dad and mom, who live in Colorado, told him to watch out when protesting.

“We had this discussion with him two weeks ago or so, you know, that go ahead and protest, but do not engage, do not do anything stupid, basically,” his father said. “And he said he knows that. He knew that.”

The Department of Homeland Security said the person was shot after he “approached” Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. Officials didn’t specify if Pretti brandished the gun.

In bystander videos of the taking pictures that emerged soon after, Pretti is seen with a cellphone in his hand but none seems to show him with a seen weapon.

Family members said Pretti owned a handgun and had a allow to carry a hid handgun in Minnesota. They said that they had never recognized him to carry it.
