Fox News interrupted its scheduled programming on Saturday night time (November 22) to broadcast breaking news from President Donald Trump as he mentioned his contentious proposed peace settlement between Russia and Ukraine.

The broadcaster switched to the White House as Trump outlined his proposal, which he maintains represents the quickest path to resolving the battle that has formed worldwide relations for practically three years.

“I would like to get to peace,” Trump said from the East Room podium. “We’re trying to get it ended. One way or the other, we have to get it ended.”

However, his subsequent remarks immediately sparked widespread social media response and raised questions about whether or not Sir Keir Starmer’s fame might have taken a hit.

Trump told reporters: “I would like to get to PEACE… We’re trying to get it ended. One way or the other, we have to get it ended. If Zelensky rejects the plan, then he can continue to fight his little heart out.”

Sir Keir Starmer and other global leaders have labeled the US-drafted peace plan for Ukraine as “a basis which will require additional work.”

In a joint assertion launched on Saturday after their assembly at the Johannesburg G20 summit, which Trump snubbed, the leaders also emphasised that “borders must not be changed by force”.

Reports counsel that Washington urged Kyiv to settle for the settlement it covertly drafted with Russia.

This would entail the invaded nation making important concessions, including ceding territory, lowering its army measurement, and abandoning its pursuit of NATO membership.
