Fox News halted over devastating update for Today | TV Shows


Fox News halted live programming on Monday, February 2, as the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Arizona issued a grim and devastating update in the continuing search for the lacking mom of Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie. 

Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported lacking from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on Sunday, February 1, with considerations mounting as authorities shared that murder detectives had been concerned in the search. 

As police continued to examine, the Sheriff’s workplace issued a live update on what they’d found, revealing grim and devastating new particulars which brought on Fox News to pause its live coverage of Harris Faulkner’s The Faulkner Focus.

Faulkner, 60, rapidly cut away from her show to carry viewers a live press convention with Sheriff Chris Nanos, who informed assembled reporters about what had been found since the lacking individual’s case was filed.

Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good, as he even received choked up and emotional while sharing particulars.

During the convention, Nanos informed those at the positioning that her home had indicated a crime had occurred, with further particulars rising that supported their perception. 

Among the issues he shared had been indicators that Guthrie hadn’t left the home on her own, had been a recognized lack of mobility as properly as a need for drugs. 

“Well, I think I told you, she is very limited in her mobility; she didn’t just walk out of there,” he shared. “That we know.”

“There are other things at the scene that indicate there was…she did not leave on her own. We know that.”

“We believe now, after we process that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime and we’re asking the community’s help.”

Guthrie was reported lacking after a church-goer called the household to say she hadn’t shown up for providers that morning, and nervous family called the cops. Family members had dropped her off at her home just after 9:30 the night time before.  

Nanos made it clear that they weren’t treating her disappearance as one thing associated to dementia or any other mental condition, stating she was of “sound mind” and “as sharp as a tack.”

He also requested other local residents to review their own Ring digicam footage to see if they may discover something suspicious, and refused to say whether or not either Nancy or Savannah Guthrie had been the subject of latest threats.

Guthrie later launched a assertion on the investigation.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remain on the safe return of our dear Nancy. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case, and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department,” the assertion read.
