GB News host Martin Daubney breaks down in tears over | UK News

GB News star Martin Daubney broke down in tears live on-air after reporter Charlie Peters read out a sufferer impression assertion from a teenager who was attacked by a migrant in Oxford. The 15-year-old sufferer shared her assertion after she was raped by Amin Abedi Mofrad, who arrived in Britain on a small boat, and who has been jailed for 12 years and six months.

The assertion read: “I struggle to find the words to start this. I’ve gone over in my head what I could say and how to explain something like this. Before I start, I want to say that putting embarrassment to the side and showing vulnerability for strangers to hear has been really difficult, along with trying to capture the darkness I have been living within for the last 16 months since this happened.

“There’s a kind of loneliness that goes beyond being alone in a room. It’s the kind when you’re surrounded by people but you’re stuck in a bubble. It’s where the world around you is moving, but you can’t follow it. It’s where no one else can sit in your body and feel what it’s like to be you.

“I never thought that one night could change so much. It changed everything I knew about myself. My body became something I no longer wanted to associate with, and my voice became something I no longer wanted, because in the moment I needed it most, it failed to protect me.

“It’s like looking in the mirror and not recognising the person, staring back, feeling like your body isn’t yours anymore, like it belongs to the memory of what happened instead.

“Not even wanting to be associated with yourself because you feel so violated and disgusted to be you. […] I was forced in a moment that didn’t end for me. When he was finished, it followed me. When he was done, he got to walk away, but I was left to deal with the battle.

“I have been left to carry a trauma that invades every part of my life, and he was able to leave and return to his life without consequence. Mine feels like it’s fallen apart.”

Breaking down in tears, Martin said: “No child should have to say that.”

He told Charlie: “There’s no mother or father who ought to have to know that’s occurred to their youngster, and there’s no court in the land that ought to deny a sufferer the precise to say that and to have their second of closure. And that’s what occurred in this case.

“I do know you put a big quantity of work into serving to this household and to making sure that we heard that. I believe the nation deserves to hear that. And it is an astonishing Charlie.

“We communicate so often of just the astonishing, thoughts blowing bravery of these kids who can one way or the other put that down in a approach to get their emotions. I’m utterly blown away by the great character that you just hope survives and makes it through this.”
