Music icon Gary Numan, 67, sparked concern amongst followers when he broke down on stage during his show at the O2 Academy in Birmingham on Saturday (November 15). The chart-topping star was performing his music Please Push No More when he grew to become visibly upset. It was only his ninth music out of a 19-strong setlist.

His spouse of nearly 30 years, Gemma, 57, got here out on stage to consolation him as followers appeared on in concern. Another fan gushed: “Gary Numan breaks down at O2 in Birmingham?? Hope he’s okay! He’s heard one thing today but said it’ll all come out in a few days.” 

A third chimed in on Facebook: “Hats off to Gary!! Imagine having dangerous news and still coming on stage to carry out to all his followers. Takes great braveness!” A fourth shared: “Fantastic show, very emotional. Hope it isn’t something to do with his health or his household.”

Posting an image from the gig, another fan wrote: “A really emotional Gary tonight in Birmingham. He broke down during Please Push No More. Apparently, he’s had some dangerous news today, which he’ll make public in a few days’ time. Gemma got here on stage and hugged him. I actually hope it’s not one thing to do with Gemma’s health. But he still did a large show. And the viewers liked him a little bit more for it.”

Meanwhile, a sixth shared: “Gary broke down in tears on stage tonight at the O2 Birmingham. He said he had acquired the worst news ever that morning and would share it with followers in a few days when he had time to course of it. Whatever it’s, the viewers made it clear they have been all with him.” 

Gary is due to carry out at the Bristol Beacon on Sunday, November 16, and, at the time of writing, there may be no indication that the show won’t go forward. Including Bristol, he has a additional 13 dates to full on the UK and Ireland tour between now and December 2.
