As of Thursday, September 4, ABC has formally revealed the line-up of 23 contestants who might be competing for Mel Owens’ ultimate rose on the second season of The Golden Bachelor.
Owens, a former National Football League participant who performed linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams from the first spherical of the 1981 draft through his ninth season in 1991, has some fairly spectacular girls vying for his love.
Many of the 23 contestants, whose ages vary from late 50s to early 70s, have held inspiring jobs in firefighting, biomedical engineering, and instructing. However, each woman’s persona is what will finally wow the bachelor.
According to a press release from ABC, the incoming actuality star hopes to rediscover a love “rooted in the simple joys of companionship — sharing life’s everyday moments, making plans for the future and growing stronger together as a couple.”
