Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is demanding U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick resign over his hyperlinks to the late intercourse trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Lutnick declared last yr during an interview on The New York Post’s Pod Force One that he and his spouse had an uncomfortable encounter at Epstein’s home in New York, which led him to vow to “never be in the room with that disgusting person ever again.”
However, new documents allege that he attempted to meet with or speak to Epstein several times since 2005. He also allegedly reached out after Epstein pleaded guilty to procuring a minor for prostitution as part of a controversial sweetheart deal in 2008 in Florida. Lutnick has never been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein’s intercourse trafficking.
“Secretary Lutnick had limited interactions with Mr. Epstein in the presence of his wife and has never been accused of wrongdoing,” a U.S. Commerce Department spokesperson told GWN last month.
Massie co-led the bipartisan Congressional effort to release the Epstein files alongside Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), which U.S. President Donald Trump signed into law in November. The U.S. Justice Department has slowly trickled out files in batches in compliance with the law.

Upon being requested by GWN’s Manu Raju if Lutnick should testify before Congress after the latest information release on Jan. 30 appeared to show his ties to Epstein, Massie said the secretary should instead resign.
Upon studying about Lutnick’s deeper ties to Epstein, Massie is now calling on the secretary to resign.
“No, he should just resign!” Massie said. “There are three people in Great Britain that have resigned in politics — the ambassador from Great Britain to the United States, the Prince lost his title for less than what we’ve seen Howard Lutnick lie about.”
He continued, “Look, Howard Lutnick clearly went to the island, if we believe what’s in these files. He was in business with Jeffrey Epstein. And this was many years after Jeffrey Epstein was convicted — you know, lightly sentenced, but was convicted for inappropriate crimes. So he’s got a lot to answer for. But, really, he should make life easier on the president, frankly, and just resign. If this were Great Britain, he’d already be gone.”
Raju adopted up and requested the same query about Trump, who was also named and accused of inappropriate assault of underage ladies in the most current information. Trump has also never been accused of any crimes related to Epstein and fiercely denies all accusations. Massie said he’s weary of urgent Trump because he worries that bringing politics into the case is a disservice to the victims.

“I wouldn’t go there yet,” Massie said. “I think that most of the men that are implicated in these files, they’re billionaires, they are friends of Trump, they are people who are in his social circles.
“To get justice for the survivors, I want to see those men brought to justice,” he explained. “Ro Khanna and I have tried to keep this from being political. In some respects, we’ve failed. You know, the Democrats want to make this about Trump. And the Republicans want to make it about the Clintons. I want to make it the survivors and getting them justice and transparency.”
Trump has repeatedly attacked Massie and his wife for his role in getting the Epstein files released and endorsed Massie’s GOP primary challenger, Ed Gallrein. Massie described Trump’s attacks on his wife—as well as his since-deleted racist video post of the Obamas depicted as apes—as “past the pale,” and urged White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles to take away Trump’s phone.
“I vote with the president 91% of the time. The 9% of the time my party is taking up for pedophiles, bankrupting this country or starting another war, I don’t vote with them,” Massie declared. “They want 100% compliance. That’s why they’re trying to take me out.”
