SBAs Loeffler Suspends 111,620 California | Political News
U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced Friday that the company has suspended 111,620 California debtors amid suspected fraudulent exercise across SBA pandemic-era loan applications. In complete, these debtors obtained 118,489 Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans totaling over $8.6 billion.
Once again, the Trump SBA is taking decisive motion to ship accountability in a state whose unaccountable welfare insurance policies have created a tradition of fraud and abuse at the expense of law-abiding taxpayers and small business homeowners,” said SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler. “Today, we announced we have now suspended almost 112,000 debtors tied to at least $9 billion in suspected fraud. This staggering quantity represents the most important crack-down on those who defrauded pandemic applications, and it illuminates the size of corruption that the Biden Administration tolerated for years. As we did in Minnesota, we’re actively working with federal law enforcement to establish the criminals who defrauded American taxpayers, maintain them to account, and recoup the stolen funds. As we continue our state-by-state work, our message is clear: pandemic-era fraudsters is not going to get a go under this Administration.
These actions observe SBA’s latest suspension of 6,900 Minnesota debtors (see SBA Strikes Back: Now Suspending 6,900 Fraud Suspects in Minnesota – RedState) related with 7,900 probably fraudulent PPP and EIDL loans value roughly $400 million.
While this suspension shuts off the faucet, we should not deceive ourselves into pondering that this money will likely be recouped or even that the companies are something more than addresses of comfort. The California Post found one deal with in San Diego where 14 companies had been registered in 2020 that received over $2M in PPP and EIDL loans.
One factor we’re seeing is that in predominantly Democrat jurisdictions, defrauding federal applications has the standing of a lifestyle. The people who take part are disproportionately illegals, and the money they rip-off out of the federal authorities finds its means into bank accounts, terrorist teams, and as kickbacks to the local Democrat political energy construction; see Does the Mounting Minnesota Fraud Scandal Explain the Curious Prominence of Some Minnesota Politicians? – RedState.
Though a lot of the coverage of fraud has centered on the Somali group in Minnesota (Nick Shirley Strikes Again, Drops Second Bombshell Video Exposing Rampant MN Fraud – RedState), California would not look to be a slouch when it comes to sucking the federal teat bone dry. When Dr. Mehmet Oz, director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, visited Los Angeles, he discovered 42 fraudulent hospices in a four-block radius that had been accountable for at least $3.5 billion in fraud. Oz had the temerity to level out that, related to Minneapolis, the fraud was being run by Russian and Armenian mobsters. This led California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom to file a civil rights criticism against Oz accusing him of discrimination.
In a roundabout means, we owe Minnesota’s Democrat Governor, failed vice presidential candidate, and high college soccer coach (ewwww!) a debt of thanks because had he held fraud to affordable ranges in Minnesota, we may be calling him Vice President Walz proper now. We caught a break on that one.
