Greg Norman led LIV Golf for three years before Scott O’Neil took over, insisting his mission centered on preventing for legitimacy and empowering gamers to chart their own course, opposite to claims he aimed to dismantle the PGA Tour.

“And yet, right here today, the establishments are making a lot of money. Now, with LIV, I gave the gamers that alternative, and look at what’s occurred to the PGA Tour. That is the overall reverse. We have been making an attempt to work within the ecosystem… The ecosystem was crying out for that, to have a counterbalance, and we proved it proper.”

Norman further argued that LIV’s emergence has intensified competition while boosting earnings and autonomy for PGA Tour professionals.

“But now look at the PGA Tour. I just complimented Brian Rolapp. Why? Because personal equity got here into the PGA Tour because of LIV. Three billion {dollars}, $1.5 billion already got here in and another $1.5 billion to come in.

“So all of a sudden now the players control the policy board. Now all a sudden the players can control their own destiny.”
