Kristi Noem Lays Bare the Democrat Dishonesty As FEMA Works Without Pay to Clean Up DC Sewage

Now there’s an update, as President Trump formally declared a catastrophe emergency in D.C. on Saturday. Here’s what we all know about the federal response:

The declaration will enable the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to step in and present help after a sewer line collapsed in January and dumped thousands and thousands of gallons of uncooked filth into the water outlining the nation’s capital.

The emergency declaration authorizes FEMA to present direct federal help under its Public Assistance program, particularly protecting emergency protecting measures categorized as “Category B.” 

The federal authorities will fund 75% of eligible response prices, according to FEMA. Mark Ok. O’Hanlon has been named the federal coordinating officer for the disaster response, and extra support designations may very well be made following additional harm assessments.

FEMA is deploying a group to assist incident management, working instantly with local officers and federal companions to coordinate federal sources. EPA will lead the federal response while @DHSgov and FEMA leverage all our sources to make sure the cleanup is swift and efficient.

But the end of her assertion highlighted the political roadblock that weighs on the federal effort, with the partial authorities shutdown leaving her own division workers, and FEMA employees, without paychecks:

Even as Democrat politicians shut us down and these males and girls go without pay, DHS is dedicated to offering a lot needed support to the Americans impacted by this catastrophe. We is not going to let our residents undergo without help.
